reencuentros

Such a long time has passed, some miles travelled, so many things happened between now and then. But it's so nice seeing good friends again. And last weekend was quite full of those ocasions. Thanks! (Now, I only have to learn how to dance tango in the next 5 years...)

Colourful Whitsun

It has been a rainy month, but fortunately sunny for this year's Carneval of Cultures. Which made hip-swinging to all the samba rhythms and conga drums much more fun...

The evening before I went to see Gotan Project, which always is a treat - both for the mix of acoustic tango and electronic beats as for the lovely illumination and picture show. Didn't know till then that you can make music with a laptop plus wii remote and nunchuk! And then last week I saw a jazz band playing  and people dancing on the sidewalk. In Berlin! I'm overwhelmed. ;)

Was für ein wunderschönes ostsee-geburtstagswochenende! In diesem tollen alten gutshaus untergekommen,  dem regenwetter getrotzt, ostseewind um die nase wehen lassen, am lagerfeuer bis in die nacht gesessen und das erste mal wirklich erfolgreich drachen steigen lassen am strand. Danke, Steffi!

            Insel Poel

so viel weite...

...ist selten in der stadt. Üblicherweise reicht der blick ja bis zum nächsten haus, zum nächsten baum. Und dann kommt man auf's endlich eröffnete Tempelhofer Feld und kann den blick in die ferne schweifen lassen!  Immerhin ist das areal größer als der Tiergarten oder der Central Park! Das ist in der tat etwas besonderes, genau wie auf der alten landebahn entlangzuradeln. Andererseits ist es irgendwie auch ein bißchen wüste. Grüne und sehr schöne wüste, aber eben wüste. Dabei bietet Tempelhof so viel potential, so viel raum! Also ich bin gespannt auf lustige pioniere...
